Darling Range - Denise Hardie
![]() |
Denise HardieDenise Hardie is known to many in Roleystone for her volunteer work with the Revitalise Roleystone steering committee, Roleystone Local Drug Action Group and her work in community, aged-care and youth services. |
Denise has lived and worked in the hills area for the last 25 years and she says: “As a mother and hills dweller, I take a great deal of comfort knowing that The Greens policies are long term solutions that go beyond the next election."
“The Hills are a special place and the pressure of climate change and urban development are going to require the long term planning that the Greens are already addressing through the Perth Hills Planning Bill. This will preserve our unique hills environment and recognise the importance of the hills as the green lungs, source of drinking water and food bowl of the Perth suburbs.”
Denise is passionate about social justice, the environment and related economic issues.
She is actively involved in the work the Greens are doing to ensure that WA adopts climate change strategies that are sustainable, affordable and accessible to everyone.
She said: “We only have to look at the social cost in terms of livelihoods and the ongoing cost involved in trying to rectify the problems with the Murray Darling ecosystem to know that we have to take a lead in the area.”
